• Slow-Roasted Pulled Pork Sandwich $9.90
• Shitake Mushroom Soup
  

Hand-Shredded slow roasted pork, drizzled with Tangy light BBQ sauce.
Delectable. Flavorful yet light tasting, without the feel of being Ge-Lad
Sandwich crust eludes a light crunch and reveals a soft moist bread
Crunchy lettuce and tomato brings a balance to the meat.

Shitake Mushroom soups shows traces of Shitake chunks in mini satisfying bite-sizes. Light in texture unlike the usual thick creamed mushroom soups in other places.
This soup review will be dependable on individual preferences.
If you are one that loves the *Pow Wow Bang* thick and very flavourful soup, than this may fall as short to what you are looking for.
However, if you are one that prefers for food to be tasty but on the light side, think you will find this soup pleasing to your taste palettes.

  Great combination and blend of Cranberry sponge cake layered with white chocolate
  
  
  Food for Thought is one of my faves. It is a great place for a close cozy catch-up and get togethers. Small cafe that sits about 16 people, tucked away in town. It is opposite Bras Basah Complex.
  
  The reasons i love food for thought:
• Great food@ reasonable pricing
• Cozy Bistro Cafe with a homey old-fashion look with a touch of modern creativity
  
• they play jazz songs, and on the occasion when i went, they play OLIVIA ONG!! =D my fave jazz singer!
• They serve the community with the profits they earn
• The intricate and detailed thought they put into every single thing in this cafe, from the branding to the decor, menu and furnishing, especially love their self designed postcards.
  
  

The other Main reason why i love this little cafe is the Great service attitude of the staff/owners there. Their warmth and passion they possess for this cafe spreads through their service experience with you.

to me, great service adds to the overall experience and rating of a place. They determine if the customer will give a thumbs-down, a passing mark or a Thumbs-up.

Definately a place which i would return to. Whenever im thinking of a nice cozy cafe for a hang-out, food for thought never fails to surface in my consideration.

A pity they are closed on sunday, hope they can open for at least the evening period on sunday so that i can have dinner with my group of friends that love food for thought as well

Mango Tango

Bangkok is famous for their Mango.

Innovative ideas are blooming out by the young Thai entreprenuers, bringing the usual fare of Mango Sticky rice and all things Mango, up a few notches to a boutique Mango Cafe

I chanced upon Mango Tango.. being a sucker for cafes, i had to go in and check it out!

Couldn't resist ordering the below Mango Sticky Rice (comes with a scoop of refreshing Mango Sorbet)

The Sorbet Harmonizes the Mango and Sticky Rice

Their Menu consists of a huge variety of desserts/drinks with all things Mango

Location:
-Bangkok Siam Square (the above air-conditioned and well furnished cafe)

-Bangkok Chatuchat (non-aircon, more of outdoor road side stall)

Mango Tango will definately be on my List of the MUST-HAVES in Bangkok ;)

Cost: above the average road side stall, but considering Cafe with the Sorbet ice-cream, prive was actually very resaonable.

if my memory serves me right, it should cost between S$5- S$6

Viet Food Va Va Voom!

I visited Vietnam abt 4 months ago (for the 1st time in my life) and it was during that trip that I abandoned all pre-conceived prejudice I have towards the cuisine. Well, there's a good reason why I'm not pro-viet food, coz like many other Singaporeans, Thai food's the way to go for our spicy tastebuds and we tend to think Viet food is dull and tasteless.

Not that I had alot of great tasting Viet food during my trip but I sure had some pretty decent tasting meals there. So when I came back, I checked out some Viet food restaurants and found out that u can count the no. of them with one hand. :P

Anyways, I visited Va Va Voom for the 2nd time since my Viet trip and this time I brought Yyn along...

Mains from $6 - $10 - I say Value-for-money!

Pork Cutlet Rice - ard $8.00

With meatloaf, fried egg and sweet sour dressing on the side...

Plum soda - $2.80

Vietnamese Drip Coffee - ard $4

Pho Bo - Sliced Beef Noodles - $6.00 (they have brisket variations, and a Hanoi Beef noodle option) Maybe i'll try that on my next trip!!

If i'm gonna pay $4.50 to eat @ a food court nearby, I would gladly top up another $1.50 to eat @ Va Va Voom... At least it spares me the squeezing and pressure of eating quickly @ the food court... :P

It's been over a month since i've been to Udders but was pretty caught up to write about it.
We tried Chempedak, Rum and Raisin, Tiramisu flavours etc...

What can i say. Don't bother so much, just GO!!!
Its fantastic! Every flavour is just bursting with richness and authenticity!
If you are undecisive, just get the staff to let you try out the flavours, but word of caution though, you may end up even more confused as all the flavours are to die for!

Really, Definately worth trying!
Its a ice-cream place, i will not talk too much about it except that they have a good concept, nice location, great tasting quality ice-cream, nice decor.

This is more of a grab eat and go place as it tends to be quite populated at times, making it quite Squeezy to hang-out.



Udders is really good. Can be equally rated with Island Creamery
